SOS Light: Everything you need to be safe

Just 1.3 kg (M) and a pack size as small as a small loaf of bread - the SOS light offers a good balance between price, weight and quality. Constructed from skydiving cloth, it is extremely robust. With proper care, it can be safely deployed multiple times, perfect for SIV over-the-water training. Small enough and light enough to take on any flying adventure.

If you deploy the SOS light, it opens up fast and reliably, the opening shock is damped by elastic polyamide canvas. Polyamide cloth also has a high melting point. This is important because possible friction with the glider can rapidly result in high temperatures. Thanks to highly dense cloth, the landing, even at maximum load, is slow with high pendulum stability.

Two colors for your best friends:
That makes everything safer. A rescue must be folded correctly and regularly. To simplify the wrinkles, we have designed the SOS light with colored packing loops, a center seam line, and two-color fabric panels. And just in case you don't land next to the bus stop, the eye-catching red and white cloth, makes it easier to locate in back-country retrieves.

With the SOS we have obsessed over every detail. The Swiss Mcc designers and test pilots have tested countless concepts and materials since 1997. No stone has been left unturned, no idea has gone un-explored. Each SOS Light Reserve is shipped in its own four-leaf inner container, optionally with a long (130 cm) or short (20cm) bridles available, and a maillons INOX 5mm square. Ready to be installed in your harness.

SOS Micro:
Weighing less than a kilo (size S) and a very small pack volume, the SOS Micro is uncompromising. Its lightweight fabric allows it to unfold in just a few tens of meters. To soften the blow, which is the consequence of a quick opening, the SOS Micro is equipped with elastic Nylon 6.6 HT lines. With a much higher melting point than Dyneema, Nylon 6.6 HT ensures higher strength and break resistance in case of friction (twist) at the opening. Using a very low porosity fabric reduces the rate of descent.

Everything with the SOS Micro has been designed for maximum reliability when folding the parachute: colored folding tabs, central lines highlighted by a blue seam, and red and white half-domes for high visibility (easier retrieval).

Approved by two different laboratories for testing Freefall (six openings in freefall instead of three with the same parachute), tested many times in real conditions, the Micro SOS is a proven model, made with the finest European materials (Porcher Sport, Edelrid, Ammann) and cut and assembled in Europe with equipment at the cutting edge of technology.
